Embrace pressure, trust preparation, and elevate the standard around you …

Noah Grant — #17

Pitcher | Infield \ Outfield | 6’5”, 180 lbs | Bats/Throws: Right/Right | Hometown: North Delta, BC

When Noah Grant walks to the mound, the first thing you notice is his size. The second is the way the game immediately feels different.

At 6’5”, Grant brings a commanding presence, but his impact goes far beyond physical stature. Entering the 2026 season, he has become one of the North Delta Pirates’ fiercest competitors — a pitcher who wants the ball in important moments and has repeatedly proven he can deliver it.

His baseball story is deeply rooted in community. Grant has played his entire 12-year career in North Delta, growing through the same association fields and developing alongside teammates who have become close friends. One of his most meaningful early memories came in 2019 when he closed out the Provincial Championship game, pitching the final two innings and striking out the last batter to secure the title. The moment still defines his approach: embrace pressure, trust preparation, and compete.

Since then, he has continued to build a reputation as a big-game performer, pitching in key games and helping the Pirates to top finishes, including capturing gold in all-star tournaments, and being added to the rosters of BCMBA Team BC at the 16U level and twice at the 18U level. Grant was also a part of the inaugural 2024 North Delta Pirates team — an experience made even more memorable by sharing the roster with his older brother who is now a member of the TRU Wolfpack. Now in 2026, he’s relishing the opportunity to share the North Delta Pirates roster with a younger brother.

On the mound, Grant combines power and control. With a sub 2.00 ERA, a BAA under 0.200, and an .800 winning percentage as a starting pitcher at the 18U level, he attacks hitters confidently, works deep into games, and thrives in high-leverage situations. Yet his contributions extend beyond pitching. Offensively, he led the team in batting average in 2025, showing reliable contact and disciplined at-bats. Defensively, his strong arm allows him to make long, accurate throws from both the infield and outfield, routinely preventing extra bases and runs.

Grant sees himself as both competitor and teammate. He wants coaches and scouts to know he can fill multiple roles. He is eager to take the mound but equally committed to supporting teammates wherever needed. His leadership is competitive but supportive, and he embraces responsibility rather than avoiding it.

Away from baseball, Grant is a multi-sport athlete who also plays basketball, volleyball, and ball hockey. He enjoys the outdoors and nature, and he has a strong interest in the social sciences and humanities. In the classroom he is equally committed, viewing himself first and foremost as a scholar-athlete. He has already been accepted to the University of Victoria, the University of the Fraser Valley, and the University of British Columbia, and is contemplating offers to continue baseball at the collegiate level while pursuing academic excellence.

Grant is also quick to credit the people who helped shape his journey — coaches within the North Delta Baseball Association, particularly Jeff Stebbings and Shaun Jones, his brothers, and his parents who have coached and supported him across multiple sports and roles throughout his life.

As the 2026 season begins, Noah Grant stands as one of the Pirates’ cornerstone players. With size, skill, competitive drive, and academic ambition, #17 represents the kind of athlete programs seek: a pitcher who embraces pressure, a hitter who consistently contributes, and a teammate who elevates the standard around him.
