A thoughtful approach to every inning …
Paul Stringer — #7
Pitcher | Infield | 5’9”, 125 lbs | Bats/Throws: Right/Right | Hometown: North Delta, BC
For Paul Stringer, baseball has always been about understanding the game as much as playing it.
Entering the 2026 season, Stringer joins the North Delta Pirates in his first year with the program as a Grade 10 athlete ready to make his mark. A lifelong North Delta player with 10 years in the association — plus a season of travel baseball with Bullpen — he brings both local roots and expanded experience to the roster.
One of his most memorable baseball moments came at the 13U Western Championships, an opportunity that exposed him to high-level competition and reinforced his passion for the sport. Competing on that stage sharpened his focus and helped shape the thoughtful approach he now brings to every inning.
Stringer’s strengths are rooted in baseball IQ. He reads situations well, makes smart decisions under pressure, and demonstrates disciplined plate approaches at the batter’s box. As a pitcher, he values sequencing and location, trusting his understanding of hitters as much as his mechanics. In the infield, he plays with awareness and calm decision-making, prioritizing the right play over the flashy one.
Coaches consistently notice his coachability. He listens carefully, applies feedback, and maintains a positive attitude — traits that accelerate development at the higher levels of the game. He wants scouts and evaluators to recognize his willingness to learn and his commitment to improving every aspect of his performance.
Away from baseball, Stringer enjoys biking and skiing, activities that keep him active year-round and build balance and coordination that translate back to the field. That multi-season athleticism supports his steady growth as he continues to add strength and experience.
In the classroom, he approaches learning with the same mindset he brings to baseball: attentive, disciplined, and eager to grow. He understands that development — whether academic or athletic — comes from listening, effort, and consistency.
As the 2026 season begins, Paul Stringer represents a player on the rise. With strong instincts, disciplined decision-making, and a highly coachable mindset, #7 adds intelligence and composure to the Pirates roster. In his first year with the program, he is focused on learning, contributing, and steadily building toward his full potential.
