Five North Delta Pirates Named to Team BC 18U Selects for 2025 Desert Fall Classic

NORTH DELTA, BC — In a proud moment for the North Delta Baseball community, five players from the North Delta Pirates have been named to the 2025 BC Minor Baseball Association (BCMBA) Team BC 18U Selects. These talented young athletes - Kesler Curtis, Noah Grant, Cole James, Dakota Simicak, and Connor Wilson—will represent British Columbia at the prestigious 35th Annual Desert Fall Classic in Las Vegas, Nevada, from October 31 to November 2, 2025.

With Pirates athletes making up an impressive one-third of the provincial roster, their selection is a testament not only to their individual dedication and skill but also to the strength of the North Delta Pirates development program. The North Delta Baseball Association extends heartfelt congratulations to these players and acknowledges the unwavering support of their teammates, coaches, families, and the entire North Delta community in helping them reach this milestone. Special recognition is due to the North Delta Pirates coaching staff - Head Coach Jeff Stebbings, Assistant Coach Shaun Jones, Assistant Coach Jason Wilson, and Assistant Coach Alex McKay - for their countless hours of dedication to player development and for their mentorship of all the athletes who have participated in North Delta Pirates baseball.

The Pirates’ success also reflects the collective efforts of the wider baseball community. The association expresses its deep gratitude to BCMBA High Performance Chair Ryan Hall, whose leadership continues to elevate opportunities for young athletes across the province, and to Team BC 18U Selects coaching staff—Head Coach Josh Snider and Assistant Coaches Geoff Freeborn and Tyler Andrew (all from the South Okanagan Minor Baseball Association) for their commitment, vision, and guidance in assembling and preparing this team for elite competition.

As these five young men prepare to represent British Columbia on an international stage, they do so with humility and pride, carrying with them the values instilled by their coaches, mentors, and community. Their achievement is more than personal - it’s a reflection of what is possible when talent meets preparation and opportunity.

The North Delta Pirates and their community stand proudly behind Kesler, Noah, Cole, Dakota, and Connor, cheering them on as they represent their province, their hometown, and the spirit of BC minor baseball.
