Developing well-rounded athletes in skill and sportsmanship …

Jason Wilson brings his knowledge as an experienced coach to the North Delta Pirates in 2025.  Currently in his 10th year of coaching, Jason has demonstrated an ability to guide players to success, including coaching two teams to the provincials. Prior to his time with the Pirates, he was an assistant coach for the South Fraser Giants Midget AAA team where he focused on developing well-rounded athletes, fostering both skill and sportsmanship in his players.

In addition to his baseball coaching experience, Jason brings a wealth of experience from other sports. He played as a goalkeeper for 18 years in hockey and 16 years in lacrosse, which gave him a unique perspective on training athletes and understanding the mental toughness required for high-level competition, and, as a goalie coach for three years, he honed his ability to work with players to elevate their individual performance. Jason also spent ten years coaching winter clinics in Surrey, where he worked with players of all ages, further enhancing his coaching versatility.

Outside of sports, Jason grew up as an avid outdoorsman, which has shaped his disciplined, hard-working approach to coaching. His passion for the outdoors has helped him instill a sense of respect for the game and the natural environment in the athletes he mentors. Jason’s diverse background in coaching, as well as his experience in multiple sports, makes him a well-rounded and valuable asset and the North Delta Pirates are fortunate to have him as part of their 2025 coaching staff.
